. 2. -Weaving
Weaving remains the essential step.The craftsman commonly resorts to
the « à laiguille » technique (needlework),
as can be seen in the previous chapter entitled « A brief
history ».This allows for a proper blending of the original
colours with the new thread, leaving rehabilitation unsuspected.I will
exceptionnaly use this technique for your creations, so as to obtain
perfect outlining and sharpness of colours, as well as an extremely
fine end result.
3. -The results
A couple of weeks will be necessary to completea quality piece for an
average frame of 40X60 cm, depending on the choice of fabrics, wool, silk,
exceptionally gold or silver yarn, the number of colours and the complexity
of designs.
